The some comms awards took place on Wednesday 19 October at The Hilton, Manchester Deansgate. The awards are now in their second year and aim to celebrate the best in UK social media by recognising the mavericks & pioneers who are revolutionising the use of online to communicate in cool and innovative ways.

We expanded the number of free to enter categories to 18 for 2011 and twisted the arms of some of the biggest names in UK comms for our judging panel.

The closing date for submissions was 22 July. Judging took place on 17 August and the full shortlist is published on this website here and the winners here

We’ll be repeating the follow on some comms conference in February 2012 where many of our 2011 winners will be invited to present case studies alongside sessions from our judges.
